We already have that. It’s called news.

Meh. Not really. This is the not seeing the trees for the forest. The forest of nutrition is macros. Get your macros. Get quality. Get the right quantity. And that is 95% of it.
People with the They knew what they were getting into narrative never played. I also played in high school in the 90's. There are segments of entire games I have no memory of. Players were taught to ‘ear hole’ the other guy to knock them out (unconscious players don’t hold onto the ball). That’s putting the crown…
The dossier exists. Yes. But the Buzzfeed dossier is not confirmed as the dossier. And this was not what was presented to Trump in the intelligence briefing. What has been confirmed, is that Trump was presented a 2 page synopsis of the dossier at that briefing. And a few summary points from that from that…
You assume that what Buzzfeed posted IS the dossier prepared by US intelligence. Buzzfeed has not confirmed that. But published it anyway. That is not journalism. And your assumption could be wrong.
Exactly. +1
You are wrong. And this line of thinking is a primary reason there is such distrust of news media.
I mean...this makes me like Trump a little. Is that weird? Am I weird?
I like FFXV. And laughed out loud when I read “Middle-Earth Entourage.”
Short answer: Most people that teach lifting are dumbasses and not qualified to do so. From school coaches, weekend Crossfit certified coaches, to the 20-year old personnel trainer at the big box gym.
The McKinney PD didn’t defend the officer in the video. They fired him over this incident. Which the article neatly leaves out.
I do an advanced DUP strength program (daily undulating periodization) four times per week. Which consists of two full body workouts, an upper workout, and a lower workout. This is where I do my heavy lifting.
This is meant as a constructive comment. If weightlifting is not your interest, then feel free to ignore.
I agree. And GOMAD is a flippant response from Rippetoe...who grew tired of underweight individuals claiming to be ‘hard gainers’. In a ‘let them eat cake’ type response, he simply said drink a ‘gallon of milk a day’ and show me you are a hard gainer. And I know the 3rd Edition of SS does not have GOMAD in it. I…
Please use a spotter on the bench. This cannot be stressed enough. You can bail on the squat/deadlift/overhead press. Not the bench. People die every year from bench pressing.
To be fair to the book, the misunderstood GOMAD advice is specifically given for underweight ‘hard-gainers’ that just won’t eat enough to progress. It is not a recommendation for everyone.
Depends. Most people are not athletically gifted. And learning the compound movements on their own is challenging. I compete for fun. And have a coach (I video my lifts and they review for form correction).
The basic program is for all people. Past the age of 40, most people don’t have the recovery to run the more aggressive progression presented in SS. The book, Starting Strength, covers the changes women and older populations should make to the program.
That is ridiculous gains for an advanced lifter.
Again, you seem to have a comprehension fail. Starting Strength is for novice lifters. Not intermediate and advanced. Male novice lifters have less than 2 times body weight squat/deadlift.
