Sheer projection.
I starred your comment. But my stars are no good here.
I can’t wait to freaking retire! I only have 10-15 years left (Yay Union!), and then I can spend time being Grandma, sewing, reading, and whatever else I want!
Well my parents spent their early retirement making and selling wine, since they’ve retired from that they spend their time traveling, doing habitat for humanity, visiting friends and family.
They’re more active than I am!
Retirement doesn’t mean not working, it means doing work you choose.
I would imagine they would change the rate of pay so that a full-time week (whether is 32 or 40 hours), would be paid the same.
God know I waste at least 8 hours of work each in which my employer could save money by not wasting the resources it takes to keep the office open an extra day a week.

That’s some good parenting! Good for Promise, and good for her Mom!

Desperate parents. Finding good (affordable) daycare is hard.

This is no different than any other thing in our society that is affected by white privilege/racism/whatever you want to call the fact that black…
Yay!
Yes we did! Power to the People!
Thanks, I’ll try not to let it get me down. I’m a union member through and through.
It was during the summer. My co-workers and I did a lot of drinking and hanging at the river that summer. (after the picket line, of course)
I was in that strike! Also known as Summer Break. We’d hit the picket lines in the morning, get our temporary pay, and head to the river. Good times.
Good for them, but selfishly, this is distressing! I’ve had Kaiser my entire adult life (30+ years) until the last year when I was forced to get on my husband’s due to unemployment. It would’ve bankrupted us. I was ignoring some serious medical issues due to the expense, and don’t get me started on the medication!…
Again.
