I’m very happy Mr. Gray got this settlement, but I’m concerned with the way the state has already handled this case. What are they going to do now, hand him his millions and show him the door?

Yeah, this falls under “least shocking news, ever.”
I love reading your stuff, it so eloquently describes my own experiences. It is helpful, and hopeful, to know others are out there.
I’m a mother of two adults, and I was not diagnosed (BP2, various anxiety disorders, ADHD...) until I was an adult (and parent). I have a lot of guilt around raising my kids with my disorders, and the way that they’ve influenced my parenting. It’s really hard, because both of my sons are great people, but one of them…
Not at all!
My stepfather never acted like he was my dad, he was just my Mom’s husband. But he provided the support, security, and unconditional love that I never felt from my dad.
I refer to my stepfather as my best father.
I was simply noting what my personal experience was, with no mention of how my own body reacted, I fail to see any dictation in that.
I’m older, so maybe things have changed, but when I had kids the rule of thumb was, it takes you 9 months to get in this shape, it will take you 9 months to get back.
I love this story!
His specious apology is an insult, why the fuck would she accept it?
Sadly, you’re right.
That poor little girl is dead. I can’t imagine what her Mom is going through.
As an American, so do I.
No.
The picture with this story isn’t as bad as some of them I’ve seen. It looks like spray-on to me. (but he clearly has a more skilled professional apply it than Trump)
That Trumpesque orange tan isn’t doing him any favors. IMO.
I can’t believe nobody’s calling him out on his fake-ass orange tan. He wears it better than Trump, but it’s still not a good look.
The race of the person who authored the letter doesn’t matter. The point is, I, as a white woman (not rich, but not poor), would not likely have a letter like this sent to me (and if I did, I would flout it). The fact that they are trying to police the clothing of poc is racist.
I think that was the point.
