I feel the same way, I hope we’re not both kidding ourselves! BTW, did you ever see “Thumbsucker”? I think it was one of his best movies.

Hollywood? America’s Moral Compass?!? Where the hell have I been all these years, hollywood is about the most craven place around! Sure, actors like to see themselves this way, because they’re all narcissists who believe they are the exemplar’s of all that is good, but does anyone else buy it?

I actually met him at a party in the late ‘80's, he was very sweet and seemed very real. (he wasn’t the only star at the party, but he was definitely the only approachable one)

I’ve been posting throughout here saying nobody would surprise me, but Keanu just might be the one... And I would be heartbroken.

It takes a certain type of (narcissistic) person to become an actor, so I’m with you. Not to mention the culture is so very different than other workplaces. Bad behavior from anyone in the industry would not be horribly shocking.

Bill Murray and Steve Martin would not shock me.

My Mom always said if you don’t want your kids to be molested, don’t let them join church youth groups, sports, or go to family reunions.

It makes me think that this is such an insidious Hollywood problem, that everyone knew, and nobody talked about. Families included - they all are in the industry and I don’t believe they didn’t have any inclination. It’s just “acceptable” behavior in the biz.

I’m not trying to prove anything, I’m just sharing my experience. I’ve been clear about that from the beginning.

Dan Schneider...

And I am here for it.

Not to take away from Rose’s story - she is fucking amazing, and has been relentless for years with her hints (which is what made me think of Corey).

And somebody give Corey Feldman the protection he needs to tell his story(ies).

JFC! I just read the vice interview with this guy, and all the alarms are going off. This is really what you are using as evidence that GVS isn’t a predatory creep?!?

A lot of places have been replaced new building. It’s quite sad, because there is a certain Portland-style architecture that is all being razed and replaced with very ugly new builds. (think wood pallets and concrete with a gumby-style roofline) Of course they give them cute names, too, but they are soul-less imo.

Off to read about Andrew Koenig...

Yep, I knew people who worked with and around him on a number of films. Everybody always joked about it, but I don’t think homophobia would have been much of an issue in Portland or Seattle at that time. But, again, I have nothing but a gut feeling based on things I’ve picked up on.

It was a great movie, and reminds me so much of the old Portland I knew and loved.

You are factually correct about River being able to consent. How you feel about that personally is entirely up to you (and to me).

Not to mention Dan Schneider.
