No doubt: SkyActiv is not about speed. As a comfortable, well-optioned commuter with some practical hauling capability, the 3 is a nice little car.

Throw your support to Mazda, people. I don’t know if their strategy will win out in the end, but they’re fast becoming the only company in the affordable-new-car business that appears to care about enthusiasts. The Mazda3 won’t exactly run down a GTI, but it’s a nice car for a good price.

What about the Accord Sport? Only available in two colors with the manual (in the U.S., not sure about others). What the hell?
