"You can't just make up words!" was my favorite part.

Happy birthday to Ege Bamyası!

Just in time for Candlenights?

We're all counting on you.

Yeah he was a pretty good interviewer. Not picking up his podcast has more to do with me not listening to many than anything about him.

He was pretty unobtrusive as Alison and Betty talked which is better than a lot of hosts, but I don't know if that's indicative of what most of his shows are like or not.

I'd never listened to WTF with Marc Maron before, but the GLOW one he does with Alison Brie and Betty Gilpin was pretty good.

And the guy behind that shift, Harlan Carter, murdered a 15 year old Mexican kid named Ramon Casiano. NYT link.

Franco Luamba (and TPOK Jazz)

Do any characters ever ask "what's my number?" or say "I wonder how your engines feel"?

There are several more shorts on the disc I checked out and I picked up Ran, too. A great week to be a Gussie.

Little Nemo (1911) - there's a few bits of ho-hum comedy in the live action portions and the portions with McCay sketching pale in comparison to the fully animated bits, but the short fully-animated portion that closes out the film is great.

I've turned the basement wine-cellar of an old monastery in southwestern France into a fortified bunker. I figured it would be easiest for us all to meet up there. The password is: pop-pop.

It's like a book with another book's hat on.

RIP Michael Nyqvist. He was a lot of fun as the mob boss in John Wick.

Also, Kia Stephens (Awesome Kong/Kharma) was so good that I didn't realize she was actually a wrestler and not an actress.
