And I don't dislike them like I do Chelsea, Man Utd., and that other team that wasn't Liverpool and was ahead in the table.

I hadn't heard that. Yeah, he should. I think Pep will turn things around there (I'd say unfortunately, but they're preferable to the most likely, non-Arsenal alternatives.)

Especially if three at the back turns out to be permanent – though I suppose Debuchy, say, could perhaps fit in on the right of a back three as he slows down – otherwise they're probably a ways down the pecking order since contributions going forward are more important in the new system.

He's expected to become a decent, perhaps not star, player. I think there may be a bit of randomization in how they develop, perhaps if I had a less crowded midfield and Zelalem was training with the first team at Arsenal instead of going out on loan, he'd be a bit better.

For what it is worth FM17 rates The Jeff's potential pretty highly (along with Chuba Akpom, Reiss Nelson, and a few others).

I've wondered about him (and to an extent Jenkinson). Obviously he's going to usually be second choice to Monreal and there will probably be a younger replacement, like Kolašinac, ready by the time Monreal is done. I think Jenkinson is probably more content to stay than Gibbs. I'm not sure how things stand with Gibbs

I hope Santi and Per stick around the club in some capacity after they retire. I really like both of them.

Maybe they can relocate to Gibraltar.

I met Jason Kreis in '98 or '99. He was the best player on Dallas and went to the same high school I ended up attending. He stopped to take a picture with me and my little brother. He was considerably less amazing than Bergkamp, but a pretty nice guy.

Well, I suppose I'm not invested in FCB winning and losing to the same extent I am Arsenal, but I'd say I'm a fan.

Gus Cassius Caesar. Solid name.

One of Leicester's players in FM17 just did a Cuahtémoc Blanco hop. I wasn't aware we had the technology for that to even be possible!

I was really pleased for Ramsey, too. I think both he and Xhaka have really flourished under the new system and it's nice to see them do well (ditto Giroud). Some of the criticism they've faced this season hasn't really been deserved.

Slightly before that, maybe late 90s. I think I attended my first game probably around '99-00, a Dallas Burn (now FC Dallas) game against the LA Galaxy.

Huh. How about that?

I… probably didn't know Arsenal existed back then.

He should probably start every game with one just for being a dick.

It's like he was tied to a whipping post.

Yep. I decided to listen to Live at Fillmore East after I heard. It was probably my favorite album for a few years there in college.

Probably not Trump.
