Swalwell? He’s a democrat, he was running for president for a minute. He was in the first Democratic Presidential debate. Rep. stands for Representative, not Republican.

Exactly! I mean, WTF???
Thank you 😊!! I was a tween in the 70s, and I watched the show because I enjoyed the groovy outfits and their jewelry, hairstyles, and make-up. But even then, I was aware that this show was strictly “for the guys” plus, it was kinda sexist and silly.
Was Charlie’s Angels ever really for women though? I thought the whole point was that it was super male gazey. (This is a genuine question; I’m too young to have seen the show.)
I am stunned even still at the loss of this site. I have tried to find anything even close to equivalent. MSM sites are too filtered or fail to cover many topics to any layer of depth (or skipping all together).
Splinter was the only thing that ever made you relevant, just for simply how fucking stupid and wrong you were about everything Splinter ever covered and thus provided you means to be an example of anything. Without Splinter, you’re notable for nothing at all.
Counterpoint: Adam Neumann got $1.7B for fucking up.
Also firing the senior editor on Deadspin at the final of the world series and when the NCAA decides to let students profit off of their own images. And now articles of impeachment are about to be rolled out and they don’t have a politics-dedicated blog.

I disagree that the commenting system sucks. What commenting systems out there are better? Disqus?* Umm...some other one?
I didn’t agree with a lot of the posts on Splinter and I often disagreed with a lot of the comments. But the one thing I always appreciated was that when something absolutely ludicrous happened and not nearly enough people were going around saying, “What the flying fuck was that?” I could always find people on…
Hey, look who’s here to remind everyone that the death of Splinter isn’t *all* bad.
Shutting down the only dedicated politics website in your portfolio right before the 2020 election, one of the most consequential of our lifetime, kicks into high gear. Essentially shutting down the second-most highly trafficked website in your portfolio because one out of every twenty five posts rankles you. I’m not…
“THE Invisible Man”- a sci-fi novel published 56 years before Ralph Ellison’s book.
Did you have a point?
Which makes the line I quoted even stupider. Why complain about it and then admit that it’s not important?
Bringing up the fact that it isn’t subtle only mean something if they’re *trying* to be subtle.
The synopsis of Hollow Man is “you kinda see Kevin Bacon’s CGI dong.”
Meanwhile, going from a guy who eats people’s flesh to a guy who just eats one guy’s flesh is more of a lateral move.
