I was truly moved by his (and the mother’s as well, of course) support for their daughter. The way they fought for her for years... when you’ve got older teens who end up in “conversion” hellholes, it’s reassuring that some parents love and support unconditionally, the way all parents should do in those cases.

That could work, if slightly too narrow - “sighfluencer” would be a more general alternative maybe :-)
