One would think so; but, Porsche could be Porsche and contort their new MSB platform (used by the 2nd gen Panamera and future Bentleys) to be crossover-friendly.

The Bentayga is actually based on the updated MLB2/MLB evo platform, which is what the latest Q7 also rides on. The 3rd gen, now not destined for the US, Touareg will also move on to MLB2/MLB evo.

Well, if the tires are slightly low on pressure, or if the pavement is slightly bit moist, and if the turbos kicked in a wee bit sooner, there will be carnage... but a slightly smaller scale.

I was hoping that they would have made it a proper liftback or hatch like the Model S. Why not have both form (liftback proportions) and function?

While I don’t hate the Civic hatchback, because it has a proper opening to the cargo space; but, I cringe because it’s so ungainly compared to the last Civic hatch that we got stateside.

And headlight fluid level gauge as well, right? ;)

That’s part of the problem. They styled it like a liftback and people would presume that the Model 3 would follow the Model S with a hatch. I wanted to get a Model 3 until they showed that it wasn’t a proper liftback and I ended up getting a wagon since I need a proper liftback/wagon opening to actually haul larger…

I have a feeling that it’ll just be the one large display. It would be nice if they went with something like a small HUD piece that Mini (and possibly Mazda?) use for speedo and range.

I really, really hope that they changed the facepalm/headdesk/wtf design of the rear “hatch” and cargo space opening; but, I kind of doubt it.

They don’t? Of course, I had to pay extra to custom order my allroad in Ara Blue... but there are other blues and other actual colors available for the allroad :)

The Audi RS 6 (along with the RS 7 and S8) use the ZF 8-speed Tiptronic. The S6 and S7 use the 7-speed S tronic dual-clutch. I think it comes down to the S tronic not being able to handle (long-term) the torque of the higher output 4.0T in the RS and S8 models; at least, in the given whatever restrictions in space, etc

Not only that, but also look back to the C5 A6 allroad pricing against the C5 A6 Avant that was also sold at the same time and the pricing of the first Q7 that came out to “replace” the A6 allroad. Yes, the A6 allroad had air suspension, but many didn’t see it as justifying the markup over the regular Avant.

I have a thing for German, English, Irish and Scottish accents and I’m a fan of the more dry style of humor that she has. I know, I’m an oddball.

That and her lovely German accent, sense of humor and mannerisms make me melt with joy.
