Escaped Dealership Hell

Not sure why anyone who wants an actual Performance oriented sedan wouldn’t just go to Lexus and get an IS 350 or IS 350 F-Sport also in the $42k+ range. Plus these models have been out a few years so they are usually throwing cash and low % financing your way.  The Camry and Avalon will be roomier for the rear seat

This dealer still has a Red 2020 Supra with a $15k over sticker “Market Adjustment” that I saw one month ago. Glad to see it hasn’t moved. I told them where they could stick their “market adjustment”...

It depends on what U-haul as to how high you can go!

I understand the want to drive these cars. JDM, RWD Turbo Inline 6's. Stuff we never got. Granted today they are not as impressive and they were never that handsome but the thought of a “Supra” sedan or wagon is strong. I wish we had these cars back when they were new, but oh well. Still boosted to 250-350hp would be

I guess something like A7 2.0t Hybrid was too much?

Grillefiniti! That is just awful. I’d say more but BMW isn’t going to listen anyways. Well for those of you who don’t like Lexus grilles, this has to be worse. It’s just obnoxiously big, I remember when BMW used to make good looking cars.  Now it’s just all grille, odd sharp edges, no beauty.  The back end angle is

It looks like a Mazda-fied version of a Lexus SC but with triple rotary power.  It’s pretty cool!

I will say as someone who bought his Supra in 2002, I always go back to it. I have driven faster cars, but they don’t put as much of a grin on my face as the Supra. I have mildly modded it, stock twins but with a boost controller, full exhaust and an intake. Stock or “BPU” level is quite fun. Sure I can make more

If true this is easily the most performance for the money you can buy.  Just out of curiosity where will the new 2020 Shelby GT500 fall on these numbers and compare.  What interesting times we live in.

This is possibly the best pun thread. We have taken it to Infiniti and beyond...

I do miss my 2005 Legacy GT Wagon. With the JDM Spec B suspension bit I put on it it was a great handling, quick sleeper car.  Having driven the new Subaru’s with a CVT, I found they were best left alone.  Don’t try the Sport or Sport # modes or it will fake horribly a 6 or 8 speed transmission with tranny slip.

I have mixed feelings on this and would want the more knowledgeable on 911's to answer. If this was a MK4 Supra with a motor swap from the 2JZ-GE to 2JZ-GTE or the NA to NA-T turbo kit job this would not really give you a “turbo” car. What I mean is there is brakes, suspension, other parts that don’t really give you

Professional Idiot on a closed course. Do not attempt. It’s still funny even if he used the Professional Idiot line before back in the Motor Trend days. He’s likeable, knowledgeable and funny. I hope he has more videos soon. His videos on Head to Head with his buddy Jonny Lieberman were funny. The two made fun videos.

Can’t wait for everyone to light up their grilles! What will we do with grilleless EV’s, what will we light up?

This article is quite funny and quite sad. The sad part is we have world of empty do-nothings who do nothing productive in life but somehow get paid to be “Influencers.” This is usually pretty young things showing off their ability to wear bikini’s, party a bunch and then give bad fortune cookie style one liners about

Jonny Liberman said... “I’ve had a few people tell me that the move from Los Angeles to Dallas broke Toyota USA’s culture. This dumb decision—killing Land Cruiser!—is proof. Maybe if there’s enough outcry, Toyota will change its mind?”

To quote Chris Harris, “ It’s not a Supra!” If it was called something else or badged as the BMW it is, I would not have the huge dislike I do now. Having said that it mostly looks better in person but the fake plastic vents look “faker” and stick out more in person, especially the door and hood vents. Do not want.

I owned a 2004 WRX Wagon and a 2005 Legacy GT Wagon. I have no want for anything Subaru sells today. The BRZ is OK, but does not appeal to me and the WRX & STI are only available in sedans with either manuals or a CVT (uggh) option for the WRX. I don’t want the plastic body cladding, extra ground clearance or CVT of

True, Acceleration not a top speed I’ll probably never hit is more useful so I’d care more about 0-anyspeed and quarter mile than this one does 194 vs 187 or whatever the aero drag of Z51 might be.

I would probably want an LT2 with Z51 as I like what both offer.
