This is one of the most idiotic articles ever posted on Jalopnik.

I see this as an opportunity for Mazda to slip their new SkyactivX  I-6 engine in a sports coupe and walk all over Toyota.  Am I wrong?

Other than as track cars, 944's don’t seem to be all that valued. I’m not sure I’d want one over a Boxster and this is solidly in late 90's Boxster territory. I gave it a NP because it’s cheap enough and seems pretty clean. I don’t really desire it though.

He seems to have fixed the first half of the article, but left the second to last paragraph... which states “perhaps bringing back its rear-wheel drive and V8.”  This is one of the most inaccurate articles I’ve read here. Your headline is sadly true... and funny at the same time!

100% this. David Tracy, NPOCP, Tom’s car buying stuff, and the occasional in-depth story about somebody buying and repairing an old car (like the Nissan 300ZX rebuild story a few years ago) are the only reasons I like this site. More of that, please.
