Escaped Dealership Hell

The sales have been slowing down on the Corvette for awhile. Also there are a number of people who have been disappointed by the cooling issues, AFM, crappy paint and other issues with the C7 generation. They are great cars to drive but some people are having terrible issues with these cars. While the Corvette could

If a Ferrari and a Lotus had a baby, it might look like this car. It’s weird but quite cool. I get some Lotus 211 vibes from it, granted it’s older than this car.

Ahh, the Toyota Jellybean! They were weird but good. My parents had the previous Toyota Minivan with 101hp from a 2.2 Liter 4 sitting under the drivers bum. It did 0-60 in Yes, top speed was 87mph! However teenage me found out if you kept it out of overdrive you could hit 94mph on the Kennedy Expressway in Chicago.

I wish they would bring the V6 back. That Camry spec V6 didn’t turn them into a Porsche Macan but they were hot hatch quick and could still get decent gas mileage. The current 4-cylinder and even hybrid are just too lethargic in their responses for me.  The new ones do look good for that kind of box.

McGuiness loved the MK4 and gushed driving for the first time his “hero” car. Then he proceeded to drive the MK5 and loved it because it was a called a Supra and it’s back. I think if they had put the Supra name on a toaster he would have been happy because it’s a “Supra”. Then they put Harris in the car at the track

Save yourself the time and just torrent the episodes. I did just that and watched all 5. This season is more than a few steps back from the last season with Leblanc. Honestly I don’t miss Reid at all, he never felt “Top Gear” to me and if they are doing “Extra Gear” the torrent guys haven’t bothered to upload it which

The new “Supra” just posted a 1:23.1 time on Top Gear’s track. Slower than the BMW M3, Alpine A110, C7 Corvette Stingray. Not worth it. The Zupra might eventually become the cheapest way to lease a BMW in the future. Definitely not worth over sticker for sure, but I feel no brand new non-exotic car really is.

I run Bridgestone RE-71R’s on my ‘97 Supra Turbo.  Awesome tire in the dry and a great tire in the rain.  I have never felt the car feel less than secure even when driving in the rain and currently being at about 4/32nd tread in the rear.  Slightly noisy, but I’m Okay with that.

So that cactus went Through an Infiniti and beyond!

The interiors need help. They do not feel like the interiors of a luxury car. Forget the giant touchscreen in the middle , the interiors have the plastics of a 90's Toyota Tercel. Any Lexus or Audi for instance easily looks and feels more “premium”. They tech is the selling point for these cars, but the luxury really

I like it a lot. It looks good, has good power, it’s a wagon but it’s Crack Pipe for me. I just don’t see myself paying about $40k for a modified car without knowing in detail the history and actual condition of the car. If it was my buddy who is meticulous on his mods building it, maybe. There is lots of want for

Given Toyota and BMW are a thing, who knows...

Love it. Love those cars so much. I’ll take the blue one.

So what is the correct pronounciation?  Evi-Ya or Evi-Jah!

I don’t think I’ve tried one that didn’t taste horrible or like cough medicine.

The question is do I trust Mercedes to make a very blown 4 to not go boom in an expensive fashion somewhere down the road. While I love the numbers I just wonder what we sacrificed to get here. I’d still prefer a less boosted Turbo V6 or an unboosted V8 with these numbers.

That car just looks awesome. Too bad I’ll probably never see this version anywhere. The current Ford GT is just such an amazing looking car.

The 11 Foot 8 bridge is the gift that keeps on giving.  I bookmarked that page years ago.  Always amusing to see people in such a hurry ending up losing time instead.

Lets’s bring back the straight 8 or two with V-16's!

Anybody got a press photo of some sort of Dodge/Chrysler sedan like the one above, but in black and slightly newer, more rounded on the front. I saw the oddest framed photo in a Chuy’s in Round Rock, Texas and wondered why the heck someone would have a picture of that thing next to Bel-Air’s and chopped Mercury’s.
