Too bad all the supermarkets I frequent have already invested in self-checkout machines that barely work. I doubt they're looking to refresh their equipment anytime soon.

"Really? Wow.... the science you learned must be different than the science I learned."

Good job, AT&T. Way to kill an interesting platform before it even gets off the ground.

@sygyzy: I'm sure it is, though we might have to go through Amazon. Maybe AT&T is only offering the bundle deal.

I was absolutely planning on getting this, but $300 is too damned expensive for the dock. This looked a lot more attractive when everyone was quoting $150 for the phone and only another $150 for the dock.

Love this stuff. Can it be the future yet?

Well, it's about time they finally made themselves known. I am ready.

I admit, I don't really care much about this Superman reboot, but a little bit of Olivia Wilde might add it to my radar.

It's clear that Nokia is currently positioning themselves as the goofballs of the mobile world, but it's also true that Microsoft isn't doing much better. Give WP7 a year to mature and show solid sales before suggesting anything like this. Right now, I think they'd be better off adopting WebOS.

Thanks :)

From what I've seen, I like the industrial design of the Xoom tablet better than the iPad. But then, even though I use a MacBook, I've always liked the look of ThinkPads better than Apple laptops... so that's where I'm coming from.

I have a silly question. What happened to the link to the observation deck? I've been searching around the site for it, but I'm coming up blank.

Everything looked great.

Sounds delightfully terrible... the sort of thing that will be a riot to watch while drunk but embarrassing once I've sobered up.

That was my first thought too..., though I don't mean that as a criticism. The art is pretty cool.

I actually think this is a good idea. I would consider buying $40/year for a digital subscription of a number of publications... Financial Times, the Economist, NYT, hell.. even Heavy Metal. I'm less interested in buying a $40/year subscription of anything owned by News Corp.

Love the Arya footage. She's always been one of my favorite characters. I'm glad they're considering some of the finer details, such as Arya being left-handed.

Competition is good. Hopefully they're working on apps for a variety of devices, especially the PS3.

Well, looks like a good tablet. The dual-cameras are a little silly, but I guess they do provide a sort of redundancy for those of us who care a hill of beans for 3D.

I tried watching this video without sound to keep from waking up my wife, and without any context, it's pretty strange. If I had to guess without reading the article, I'd imagine that the NASA fuzz is out trying to chase down renegade gliders, Boss Hog style.
