"If we get online shoppers to pay sales tax that will make up for letting GE, Apple, et al never pay taxes ever!"

This is what I had hoped you meant. I wasn't sure based on how I read what you wrote. And I agree with your general principle. It's very frustrating how many supposedly Christian (or any fundamentalist) people have no idea what is in their book or choose to weight different parts with more or less importance or ignore

You want to surprise a Christian? Tell them the story of Christmas* doesn't occur in the Bible.

Moving at the end of July? Fuck that shit! As soon as I found out I'd be moving, then trying to figure out the legality of the situation long after I was gone.

Yes! Besides which it is (was? - haven't finished season 2, yet) the least interesting story line.

Yes. Exactly, Amy Poehler is fucking amazing.

I've been thinking about this: here is my burner email address: whatburneremail (at) gmail.com. If you'd like to you can send your email to that address and then I will email you my "author" address. Please don't feel any obligation.

Better than another Project Runway marathon?

Yeah, I'm impressed, but the best part is the last two lines about wanting to tell her story for so long that she told it to a customer service rep. I love that. It's so true.

Oh god, this is the best. "Why did I lie? Food poisoning."

I will give Camp Nanowrimo some thought. Thanks for the invite and the book recommendations! Good luck!

In the kid's defense it is a Krispy Kreme donut.

Oh, so this character is like Mom, and this one is meant to be your boyfriend,

It's totally weird. Someone needs to do a case study on these people.

Do you have hobbies? I love to garden and I find myself taking lots of walks through public gardens. I also do a lot of photography, sometimes I'll stop at people's houses (first and foremost: only if they're outside, also if it's a weekend and during daylight hours) and ask if I can photograph some of their flowers.

Thanks for the advice! I'll look into it!

Absolutely! I understand completely about everything you've written. Thank you for taking the time to respond. Honestly.

Interesting thoughts. In college when I read my work in front of my peers and professors and we would work on our pieces together I never felt afraid of criticism. Of course these people would have to sit by me and deal with me for however long the class or workshop lasted, so they had a real stake in being direct,

Whhaaat? No, I don't remember this! Could have been before my time. What happened? Was it regarding their usernames or just in commenting?

I understand. But if you read their policy, one couldn't use "Oliver Twist" as a pseudonym. That's a real name. No way around it. It's also a character, but you can't tell me some jackass parent in the 21st century hasn't named their kid Oliver with the last name Twist. (And I know an Echo. And we all know a Romeo. I
