So glad I’m not the only person to think that! Literally the first thing I thought when I saw the picture before scrolling down was that this must be a Harry Potter article.

Poor Omarosa thought she could stay relevant by dragging this out with her “I’ll release tapes when the time is right”. Girl had a front row seat to crazy and learned nothing about how things work now. Get it all out in one shot or you’ll be forgotten faster than trump can tell you you’re fired 4x fast.
A guest pastor at my church had preached on that very thing not long ago. Granted my church is like the UN, so preaching to the choir, but I’d never thought about it. A large portion of refugees and immigrants, especially from Syria, Central and South America, are Christian. And this guy was from India. Republicans…
Total Pharisees. Rigid, legalisitic, you-can’t-perform-mircales-on-the-Sabbath types. And they totally love to skip over the “...whatever you have done for the least of these....” parts of the New Testament, like immigration laws trump that somehow.
Very few jokes hurt my soul the way that one did. Well done.
I did up until my late 20s just out of habit. Then I realized that I was in my late 20s and stopped, even changing daddy to dad in my phone. Although I always answer the phone with “hello, father” in a faux Brtish accent whenever he calls.
I wish my biracial nephews all the success in the world, but I hope they never get famous because apparently they’d be forced to publicly choose which side of the family they essentially want to reject just to appease some people who want to find meaning or credibility just for them existing. I try to be the cool…
There’s gotta be a better way to say that.....
I’m born and raised and I’m starting to think that I went to unicorn schools in jr high and high school. The amount of diversity was staggering, not just racially but ethnically, culturally and socioeconomically. There were specialized programs in high school that anyone who qualified could get into, so we were bussed…
Ugh. Please tell me why, again, she is gunning for the top position right out the gate instead of a councilwoman or comptroller or some such position first? NY is not - no offense - Nebraska. It’s large, it’s very diverse (not just ethnically), it’s a border state (which has its own complications) and is the nexus of…
He is, has been for some time. It’s one of the reasons he said a long time ago (pre this current apocalyptic landscape) that he prefers the cultural greeting of bowing, like in China and Japan and others. I, like many at the time, took it to mean that he was super egotistical for preferring people bow to him. While…
I find Brooklyn to be particularly more, uh....fragrant - shall we say - than most. Although I’m in Queens and I really wish my neighbor would try putting a towel under his door just once.
Very odd to see it on the list indeed. Even ones not run by Latinos are called bodegas over here. Lots of things on this list don’t make sense to me, and I’m black.
That sounds awful. I think my mom literally said “Nope!” and peaced out after one too many PTA meetings that went nowhere. I gotta wonder how some of these people get into such positions of power over children and not have a care for them at all. I did a stint as a substitute teacher for a few years and I know it’s…
My mom homeschooled my youngest brother for a semester because his elementary school was literally too dangerous to attend. The kids there were awful and he would get beaten up daily, plus the teachers were just uninvolved. My mom was teaching a course on social work at a college at the time and bought all of the…
A bajillion stars for this. I think of this scene EVERY SINGLE TIME he says stupid stuff like that. Like come on, dude.
No, please don’t. A lot of us are head-desking at the pounding the scientific method, and common sense, are taking these days.
Forget sunsets in different time zones, they’re different in the same time zone. Depending on the seasons, sunsets/sunrises are a lot earlier/later in the higher latitudes than in the middle ones. Sun sets later in NY than FL in the winter.
Yeah, no one would ever attack if they know people have weapons inside. Just like at Fort Hood! Wait a minute.......
I feel bad for being totally ok with that.
