Same. Watching the olympics with my parents, it was a big deal as a black family to see her out there. And she was a beast on the ice.

My nephew’s name is Devin. Sweet kid.

I want to give you so many stars, I could cry. I said on another thread a couple days ago that no one is elected without an electorate. Period.

You’re absolutely right, and my expectations are bargain basement. I think that trump will get his tie caught in his zipper and that will dominate the news cycle for a week, dampening any and all commentaries about the response. I was just pointing out that if Kennedy does really well, people will predictably clamor

I’m not averse to the idea at all, but I just feel like it would be the height of hypocrisy if the same people in elections past who complained about dynasties and fresh blood started actively pushing for him to run. Like saying billionaire tv personality Oprah should run for president because she gave a good speech.

Sorry, a dollar’s all I can spare. I donated the rest to so-called “s**thole” countries.

The news every day is sickening and disheartening and I hate it. But right now I don’t think we can afford to be so narrow in what a potential candidate looks like as opposed to what they stand for. I look at it as how my cousins and I like Adele or Amy Winehouse - if they have soul, then it doesn’t matter who’s

Not based on anything in particular, but I really feel like Joe Kennedy is gonna kill it tomorrow night.

You’re absolutely right. I completely forgot about the whole Kennedy vs Nixon debate, and I learned that in both government and media classes back in school. I guess we’ve been screwed for a while, this is just the culmination of that.

Ah, good ol likeability. Rage stroke in 3, 2, 1.....

Omg, THANK YOU! Cannot star this enough. We are rapidly turning into a YA dystopian novel and still we have people wining about what the democrats need to bring to the table to motivate people to vote????? Um, I dunno how about doing your civic freakin’ duty? We literally did this to ourselves (because bottom line, no

Same in NYC. Storefront after storefront is empty on Madison Ave. MADISON FREAKIN’ AVE!!!

+1 for Dark City joke

If I remember correctly, I think her mom was legally blind. This guy is just being contrarian.

With regards to “He should’ve left then”, my question is, why should he have? One of the biggest problems - or just problems, since every problem with this administration is astronomical - with these guys is that they don’t listen. They’re always in a position to walk away or talk back (or talk over) everyone. Now,

I’m in the states, so it’s hard (impossible) to come by here. But maybe on my next trip back this year I can pay someone to try it for me! I’m not particularly adventurous when it comes to cuisine, lol.

I wanted to try Irn Bru during my last trip to Scotland but when I asked the waitress about how it was, she confessed she’d never had it and had never heard good things about it. I’ll just assume I dodged a bullet there.

Now playing

This show was almost 20 years ago and it’s still relevant. Man, I loved Titus!

Me too! But I’ve always said that the day my church invites ANY politician to speak, I’m out. Unless they’re ordained and graduated from seminary and giving a sermon, they have no business in the pulpit. My church also runs the gamut of the political/ideological spectrum, so I suspect everyone else would be out too.

Can I just say that Oliver Stone is a man for whom I’ve coined the phrase “whore o’clock”. Nothing to do with me at all and I didn’t see anything explicitly, so nothing specific to say. But that comment didn’t surprise me in the least.
