Really loving how much content they’ve been putting out the past year. Even not counting the three new albums, they’ve now put out four excellent live performance tapings (Jordan Lake Sessions) that have really helped make the past year suck a lot less.

Jack Coleman was so fucking good as Noah/HRG, and I recall Company Man being an excellent episode, though I’m not about to rewatch it to find out. It’d be nice if Coleman got another solid, regular role like that.

The Mountain Goats’ two Jordan Lake Sessions were absolutely phenomenal, and such a joy to watch in a year that has been absolute shit. I really wish they’d kept the video stream up longer or otherwise made it available afterward, but they put the audio up on Bandcamp last week, and I highly recommend y’all check them…

My assumption is he probably would have grown to be more like the Gohan from Future Trunks’ timeline, which would have been pretty rad.

as far as decent contemporary christmas songs go, quiet company put an excellent one out last year centered around a recently divorced hypochondriac thinking he’ll probably die alone on christmas from an aneurysm, which is about the right amount of cheer i like in my holiday soundtracks
