My explorer without Clover was stupid fast. As soon as I installed clover, it was stupid slow. Most notably, the explorer view would load somewhat quickly, but the tabs at the top would seem to lag. For example, I would have a folder open, then go to Start > Computer. Clover would load My Computer in about 3 seconds…
the icon was a small problem compared to the slowness. The loading was getting pretty ridiculous. I had to uninstall it.
Clover, while quite slow, can open network locations without a problem. Clover actually hung for about 3 minutes when I tried to load a network location. It eventually loaded but was very slow. Without Clover, it would normally take less than a second to load a network location completely.
WHAT?!? User experience is NOT only about looks. Yes, looks are a part of user experience, but a very small fraction of it. UX is about how a user interacts with something, whether it be what the UI "looks" like or where a button is placed or how a the system is organized or how easy/hard it is for a user to interact…
thanks. Worked
I agree. Clover is quite slow. Surprising, especially on a quad core w/ 8gb of ram
yeah like adding explorer extensions isn't slow enough already. Let's add two that overlap functionality.
it's alright. I just installed it. It's a little slow at times and still buggy. Not crazy that it opens it's own process which seems to wrap an explorer window. I don't like the stupid clover icon in the taskbar. I would prefer it keep the default explorer icon.
"Its WAY faster and uses less ram and cpu than windows 7."
I like the idea of wearing a watch but I never do because I don't feel comfortable with it anymore. When I was a kid, I would ALWAYS have a digital watch on my wrist 24/7. I'm not sure when or why I stopped, but I remember when I did, I felt naked without it. Now it feels cumbersome when I wear one.
yes, good advice, but somehow I think they'll still forget that its written on the router. They don't even know what their router is or what it looks like. And if I point it out to them, they'll forget in a couple of weeks anyway.
100% agree with this comment. A friend of my family actually asked me to fix their wireless for them recently. I haven't checked it out yet but the way they described it to me, it sounded like they were using someone elses open wireless connection and they didn't understand that it was not theirs. I'm not certain, but…
#2 is not a great solution because as mentioned the speed of the repeater wifi connection will be much slower than the main wifi connection.
+1 .. warm cucumbers taste awful.
+1 ... why is Yahoo Voice storing passwords as plain text??!!?!?
orrrrr you can just head to your closest dollar store and pick up a formed plastic one and save yourself some time.
or a pickle is in you
y?
I would say that generally, if you have a fairly unique name, you don't need this service. Having your own personalized domain name with a decent website, google will do all the work.
