not a fan of the portrait-oriented monitor. I find it largely useless in most (if not all) cases. Not only that, but it's not good for ergonomics either. Typically, the top of your monitor should be at eye level.

I was gonna say the same thing. My dentist says the same thing... so that after you loosen/dislodge any crap stuck between your teeth, brushing your teeth after, removes it.
run the wires through the wall... it's not that hard.
Mine doesn't seem to "whine".. Never heard any noises from it. Maybe you got a faulty one.
yes the plug cover is useless for that purpose. I've used it and it does not work as well as it looks like it would. The other complaint I have is that it cannot charge two iDevices at once. It will charge one, but once you plug a second one in, it doesn't charge the second. If you unplug the first, the second one…
I have the 3-plug, 2 usb version of this [ecx.images-amazon.com] ... it's useful for my bedroom, but my only complain is it sticks out too far from the wall and when you try to plug devices into the ports at the top, the whole unit sometimes gets loose from the wall outlet. I suspect this one would have a similar…
they probably wanted to create a "hip" single word name thinking it would be easy to remember, regardlerss of the fact that ReadItLater was perfect.
lol... save it in my Crap for later.
why not? It looked windy, so it probably wasn't bikini weather.. you CAN go to the beach for other purposes than getting a tan or going for a dip.
i'm just curious... do people who actually use these type of apps, actually have time to go back and read the things they save. I've tried using something like these before and I found that there's just way to much content on the net and I ended up saving tons of content that I never went back to read...
yeah DynDNS was free up until recently. The good thing is that those who had free accounts before they stopped offering them are allowed to keep them. I have 3 free accounts with 5 free host names on each still.
VNC is cross platform. It may not be as easy as log me in, but it has clients in all major OSs. OSX has a VNC server built-in also. And VNC is better than log me in because there's no 3rd party server involved.
Ultramon is not free. "Actual Multiple Monitors" is a FREE app to give you a secondary taskbar that works well and looks great. To my knowledge there is no free app aside from Actual Multiple Monitors that will give you a good secondary taskbar
Well said. I just want to correct you:
you can use the terminal commands linked to in the article
If you find this hunk of junk "good looking", I can just imagine all the crappily manufactured electronics we have now that our future selves will be admiring in 50 years.
Good review! I have a voyager pro and I HATE the style of it — it looks like its from the 90's, BUT it works perfectly. Never had a problem with it. So as you said "function over form".
In Canada, we have the CMHC (Canada Mortgage & Housing Corporation). For all mortgage loans with a down payment below 20%, you are required to get mortgage loan insurance with CMHC. [www.cmhc-schl.gc.ca]
AppsGoneFree is a cool app that will help find apps that used to cost money but are now free.
New question guys... Anyone have any suggestions about fax servers? Preferably windows only. And no fax services like eFax or MyFax or FaxZero. I specifically need something where multiple workstations can access received faxes from a central location. I've looked into a few, like JoyFax or SnappyFax, but there are…
