Those aren’t close together today, are they? I don’t think Long Beach has any interest in helping LA tourism at Long Beach’s expense, and the Queen Mary has greater potential as a premier attraction for its hotel and event aspects.

Most ferris wheels are a bit sketchy and the risk/reward isn’t there for me either. It’s an experience I’ve had enough times.

The question is how much money the QM has brought to the city of Long Beach in its 50 years as a tourist attraction, and how much more it’s expected to do so should it be repaired and maintained, versus the economic impact were it hauled off and scrapped, and what tourism alternatives Long Beach could create to…

I would not get on it thinking it’s perfectly safe, but I would take another tour and spend the night.

All that explanation was completely undermined by the big reveal. The items that will be filed away in the conservative bubble:

It’s a sedan, with a trunk. For people who don’t want a crossover, this is what they want, even if the trunk opening is compromised. They’ll bitch about it, sure, but they don’t use the trunk enough to quit the car over it, because if they did... they’d buy a crossover.

Why are there voter ID laws that require IDs that require taking time off work to obtain? Why are voters stricken from rolls just because they have the same name as voters in other states?…

It’s probably too late for these killers. And let’s not pretend they were ignorant of the likely sentence for convictions of the crimes they committed, or the likelihood of getting caught once they escalated to capital crimes against a family man.
