I’ve seen more road rash from someone falling off a bicycle while stopped.

If she’d slid over the concrete dressed like that, her bare arms, chest and back would look like raw meat. There is no way this isn’t staged.

How lucky her motorcycle crashed during the golden hour.

Friends of friends were supposed to get married last weekend. Instead, a funeral service was held on their wedding day because some woman in a car hit and ran the motorcyclist groom. If this chick staged this, she can rot.

With the giant glut of used cars on the market I think in the short term it could be very bad. 

I owned a 2010 Touareg TDI. Excellent vehicle. Except for the insanely huge settlement ($30,000 for a 7-year old SUV with over 100,000 miles on it - I paid about $46,000 new), I would have driven it until the wheels fell off. I followed this very closely as it unfolded. So to answer,

I think it draws some parallels with Boeing and the 737. They certainly could have made it comply, but given the schedule and budget pressure at the time it was not possible. So, they went with the solution that got them to market.

Because in addition to losing 2 miles per gallon be retrofitted ones use a whole lot more DEF and it’s a huge pain in the ass to buy carry around in your trunk and refill constantly which is what they were worried about and they knew that the consumers wouldn’t want to deal with

Didn’t they lose a significant amount of power or require a costly retrofit of a urea system? Wasn’t the purpose of the cheating mainly to advertise big torque/power figures while still staying in good economy/emissions standards?
