I made a bold claim last year that the only fitting ending to the show would be for the very last scene of the series would be flashback shots of the woman taking her baby to the car, nora’s family sitting around the table etc and then have Nora, the mother, Kevin, etc vanish

It’s even more fundamental than that when you take into consideration the amount of gun-related suicides we have in this country. A suicidal thought is powerful but ultimately fleeting; just ten minutes of trying to find the right pills or rope can make you reconsider. A gun though? Instantaneous. Immediate.

I didnt notice your thread until after I had replied, I agree entirely. Rifftrax is going to nuke this from orbit. Its perfect for it. Poor production values, even compared to normal Disney fare, musical numbers (Rifftrax loves to sing along), and incredibly bad acting and dialogue.
Say what you will about Mann but he gives us great action in terms of texture and realism. One of my faves is the opposite of the Heat shootout in terms of the amount of action. But I love it, nonetheless.

Unlike Davos, Melisandre, Reek, Sansa, Bran, or even Tormund, only Jon and Stannis are strong enough characters to be “unifiers.” This is a void that goes beyond just having a POV and “eyes” at the wall. It would suck narratively within the overarching plot.
Unless Davos kills Allister, he won’t have much muster to be much of a viewpoint at the Wall. Jon is coming back.

My memory’s a little fuzzy, but I believe Davos goes south... to find Rickon. Or to talk to someone else who happens to know of Rickon’s location or something like that... It’s been a few years since listening to the audiobooks.
