Seriously, fuck cash for clunkers: it was en-masse recycling of cars that were the best vehicles for the working poor: Panther, Caprice, 1/2 ton pickups, Cherokees, etc. On top of that, each time one of those useful vehicles was recycled, we taxpayers PAID for it.

Just curiousity, because I grew up in Omaha, which used to claim in the SAC days it was target #1, do you really think the naval ship yard would be target #1? I get the desire to destroy a means of production, but targeting D.C. and existing fleets would seem to be a better tactical target.
