There’s been several I couldn’t get in the last year. Most recently, my wife wanted to read The Minds of Billy Milligan. Despite being from a popular author (Daniel Keyes, who also wrote Flowers for Algernon), it was unavailable as an e-book. I ended up giving her a new paperback copy for Valentine’s Day.

Time is money and letting a machine do all the work is the way to go. Every couple of years I go dump a Tupperware bowl full into a local Coinstar. It counts it and deposits it into my PayPal account.

I had a smartphone and a tablet, and I’ve read plenty on both, but I always found myself distracted by Facebook and texts. Also, relying on the phone for daily communication, I had to make sure I plugged it in before falling asleep.
