One of my favorite things in my beater Jeep was a 100w power inverter that plugged into the 12v receptacle. I could charge whatever small electronic devices were onboard and run a soldering iron with it.

Who the hell runs Mobil 1 in a beater?

You can have a free-flowing exhaust without it being obnoxious. That sound is the siren’s song for tickets. Most of your police problems would probably go away if you were just quieter.

While young hotroad guys may have diminished, the number of youth getting into 4WD vehicles seems to be at a record high.

The government “doing something” is why prices fluctuate so much. Between blowing up the people we buy oil from and not allowing new refineries to open, prices are still somehow reasonable.

The new ones do really good for what they are. My buddy has one with a hard top, stuffed full of offroad gear, rolling on 35s with aftermarket bumpers. He gets 20 mpg highway.

Rebuilding an S-10 4-cylinder was probably the most advanced thing I’ve done, but I’ve done enough engine swaps that it seems fairly simple.

See how that beach is covered in seaweed? I think the bacteria collects on that. Vero Beach, FL was an awful experience for me because of the stench/seaweed, and I love the beach.

Drag race, track day, then jump it.

“Why can’t I buy an honest, inexpensive, work truck?”

I bet you $5 she shivers at some point.

They’ll probably let Michael Bay ruin Voltron, too.

You hit most of the points about small trucks but you’ve missed a big one: fuel economy. In most instances, small trucks aren’t getting any better mileage than fullsize trucks. If it costs the same to buy and the same to feed as a fullsize, there’s no reason to sacrifice the additional room in both the cab and the bed.

The rake on that truck makes me want to throw up. Then again, it might just be the hangover...

Awake drunk people calling 911 for sleeping drunk people sounds like bad advice. Me and my friends threw up in lots of interesting places in our early 20s, but it was never a medical emergency.

I love FZ in Linux, but in Windows I’ve long been a registered user of FlashFXP.

I’ll take it.

Selling a car is also a pain in the ass. But that’s another story...

Having had arthritis for the last 25 years, I can definitely vouch for ibuprofen, although I always take 800 mg to 1000 mg in a dose.
