Getting a return is largely mismanagement of your own finances but I've been lazy about changing things since buying a home a few years ago. The return is bigger but I usually just hang on to most of it to pay my locality's massively-inflated property tax in June. This year I spent the rest on hiking gear.

I think my most regrettable purchase was a sensible car. At the time, I was driving a lot: living in one city, working in another, and dating a girl in a third. I parked my beloved overbuilt 4x4 SUV and bought a brand new Civic.

Most of the plastic below the grille needs to go away! I have an XJ, which had a similarly integrated air dam and fog lights. That junk rubbed on everything. One of the best things I ever did was trim that stuff off. I followed http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f11/tips…
