The issue for me is that maybe the MM collection is a good bargain, but what if I only want to buy Mega Man 2? If everything’s in classic collections player’s won’t have the convenience of browsing and buying retro games individually and end up being forced to pay for content they wouldn’t have had to buy on VC.

But will the alternative actually be better for retro games? The beauty of VC was that it wasn’t part of the eshop, it was it’s own dedicated bookshelf just for the classics with weekly new additions. I liked have categories for each old consoles to peruse. And Nintendo’s direct collaboration for getting those games

I haven’t been paying attention, did they say anything about the Virtual Console recently or are they still being infuriatingly coy?

I’d still rather follow the other consoles’ approach of giving a range of free games on a monthly basis. Access to 20 NES games is neat, but I like the idea of getting some indie darlings or other current games I might’ve missed. Honestly, I wouldn’t even mind the Sega Channel approach of a rotating monthly carousel

I grew up in the 90's and early 2000's and I don’t remember it being okay to vote for convicted criminals and alleged pedophiles. Like even the hint of scandal was enough to derail a campaign. When did we suddenly lose all moral standards in out candidates?

Jean Reno? I’m not sure why, but that’s the first name that popped in to my head.

call me a nativist a-hole, but I think the first lady should be able to speak intelligible English.

Basically my feelings, except I also things she’s a really bad role model for women and young girls in general. Rely on your looks, don’t get a real education and leech off a rich gargoyle to find comfort in your life.

True, but for my money, it was the most enjoyable game play system ever conceived and I welcomed getting to do another variation of it every 3-4 years. Not that I didn’t love BotW, just that if any game could rely on the same system over and over, Zelda was in rare company.

I actually think (and hope) they try to blend the old-school design with the open world. The 4 divine beast dungeons were alright and had a neat gimmick, but it would be way cooler to bring back the 8+ full-fledged themed dungeons. And my biggest disappointment was abandoning Link’s inventory of gadgets and items. It

Is that supposed to be Kim’s boobs on the bottle? Plz, we’ve all seen ‘em, and they aren’t that nice.

The whole HoI series has the thickest barrier to entry I’ve ever seen. Over the past year, I’ve restarted at least 5 times slowly learning the systems before burning out.

Oh, god. I LOVE alternate WW2 weaponry musings like this. I have notebooks from college with concepts for games (I was a CS major, but most of my electives and projects were game design) and the fullest notebook I have is an alternate history strategy RPG that takes place in the late 50's in a US vs Soviet, North vs

What? DK’s being riding the same nostalgia train for 20 years. TF is just the current stop on the route.

To comment on Tim’s blurb about games that need to be ported: Mario 3D World needs a sequel more than a port. That casual, muti-player style of game is the perfect parallel franchise to the traditional Mario 64 style games like Odyssey. They’ll both sell like hot cakes. .

don’t you mean Aunt Lydia?

Yes! Like the Tomb Raider reboot (The game, not the movie, that sucked dick). Except if it’s anything like Tomb Raider and the sequel Rise of the Tomb Raider, it won’t be good until the 2nd movie.

The Switch version of D5 is still full price on Amazon despite being almost a year old. I’ve always been confused by how Nintendo manages to keep the prices of first party games and certain 3rd party games up compared to the other consoles. Horizon Zero Dawn is like $40 now and came out within a few months of D5

It takes the truth and moves it in a different direction.
