@imTheKing: Cool. Are these people from the ITP program at the Tisch School?

Until I see how the LF-A stacks up against its competition, this and the mechanical symphony that emanates from its tailpipes are the only things that I find impressive about it. #lexuslfa

Why have they not shown any engine pics or opened up the hood for the press to see? #lexuslfa

At 5 times the cost, it had better be worlds beyond the GT-R's capability. So far, if the press release's top speed and acceleration numbers are to believed, with respect to those performance characteristics, the LF-A is hardly worlds away (the GT-R is faster t0 60, for example), especially given its advantage in

@alexander_the_car_salamander: Plus look at it. It's a garish, disjointed mess, nothing like the F430, Gallardo or Murcielago. I actually think a Gumpert is more attractive. #lexuslfa

* 4.8-liter 72-degree V10 putting out 560 hp at 8,700 RPM (that's 116.5 hp/liter) and 354 lb.-ft. of torque at 6,800 RPM

I felt like it took at least a hundred mouse-clicks (3-4 per

@Bumblebee: I heard it's because he has really good weed.

Planes, Trains, and Autocrats

OK. I'll defer to this guy on the driving experience, since I have yet to hear any other journalist mention the driving experience. And, of course, to a petrol-head the noises it makes are positively symphonic. But, I have eyes and have seen enough of the car. Even if the driving experience is just short of orgasmic

@zimdba: If you squint really hard after taking a hit of LSD.

Meh-tastic. I've seldom had the occasion to say this but, I actually like the Toyota much better.

Instead of paying 139 grand to get laughed at or WTF'd everywhere I drive this thing, I'd take the 139 grand, buy a Maserati Gran Turismo which elicits oohs and ahs and approving gawks (and maybe even the occasional offer of sexual favors), and invest the difference in pork belly futures.

@Louis Wang: Touché. Actually, the market for smartphones overall grew fairly significantly since last year. So, yes, all things being equal one would expect growth in HTC's profits. The recession did not have the effect on the smartphone market that my original comment implies. Given that WinMo's market share did
