I had a good feeling that they actually did kill Amanda. That would have made the show a lot of good. Clearly the weakest point of season 1.0 was Amanda and her "I'm seeing dead people and going crazy and crying".

In my opinion (technological) singularity means a time when technological advancement is near instantaneous (as in approaching infinite knowledge with zero time). I have heard people presenting industrial revolution as a singularity but to me it doesn't ring true.…

@ltwass: The problem is that currently regardless of technique the AI is still weak compared to humans (in most meaningful aspects). Genetic algorithms are cool and everything, but they are no silver bullet.
