People have already answered, but I wanted to add that the latter fabric is what one of my horse sheets is made of. It’s like a giant horsey towel. Pop it on after a bath, and the beastie dries quickly without catching a chill.

The white dress is cotton poplin, has tiny tucks sewn in the bodice and the skirt. The sleeves have tiny tucks sewn vertically and horizontally create a windowpane. The upper arms and collarbone are bigger sewn tucks with horizontal seamsthay press the fabric down, creating a ‘wave’ pattern.
