Honestly anything is good compared to the tape delayed nonsense NBC puts on in primetime. The only issue I’ve had with streaming is that sometimes it’s literally just a camera feed on an event, with no commentary and dead air when an event is concluded.

I thought it was odd they didn’t air this since the commentators were so excited about the win. Yet we got a Phelps countdown clock. The guy is the King and a legend but it would have been nice to give Manuels her due.

Overall, the NBC medal ceremonies have been driving me nuts. The only ones I’ve seen are where the American won the gold, which makes it bizarre they skipped this, and even then they just show that awarding of the gold medal, which feels really disrespectful to the other competitors on the podium

For anyone who can, I really recommend just skipping the broadcast coverage and going with the live streams of events. The swimming live stream shows all the events AND the medal ceremonies, plus it has a pair of decent British commenters who are good but don’t talk too much. It’s been enjoyable viewing.
