Not too tough if you have a Wii U like I do!
These results definitely are more indicative of the manga’s popularity than the anime’s. The One Piece adaptation is weak; it’s unbelievably slow and lacks great production values. Dragon Ball is a classic, sure, but it’s padded out beyond belief and is in no way, in my opinion, anywhere close to as good as the…
I bought a Wii U and a bunch of great games for it (a lot of excellent Switch games are just ports from the Wii U). It’s a shame the console fizzled out so fast, but whatever.
I don’t care about Epic Mickey, and I have no interest in any book you write unless it’s about Japanese RPGs.
My favourite childhood games without remakes are Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World, Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Mario 64 (yeah, I know there’s a DS version), Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, Xenogears, and Valkyrie Profile.
I do not want a single one of them to get a remake. I love the original…
I just view a backlog game as something I own and intend to beat some day (as in, see the credits). Of the games I mentioned, I gave a good Wild ARMS 2 a good try, while I’ve barely played the others (I played Code Name: STEAM maybe 10 minutes, while I definitely played Demon’s Souls for less than 2 hours).…
Choosing not to play a good game rather than a bad one from a backlog seems really dumb to me.
I own some games in my backlog that I’m pretty sure I’ll never beat:
Demon’s Souls (PS3). Tried it, not fond of its punishing death mechanic.
Resonance of Fate. I don’t understand how to play it.
Code Name: STEAM. I only bought…
Nope, I’m not into MMOs. I’m somewhat interested in Final Fantasy XIV, but I don’t think I’ll ever have the time to check it out.
I don’t think I’ve played anything that can be classified as a looter game. That’s probably why I have no associations with those colours (other than gold being for a rare item, although gold is associated with value pretty much everywhere, not just in video games).
There are some rare drops in SNES RPGs (like the infamous Rat Tail in Final Fantasy IV, the Sword of Kings in Earthbound, and the Economizer in Final Fantasy VI), but the games are designed such that they aren’t necessary to complete the game. The rare items are just bonuses and often aren’t worth the effort.
I’ve played a lot of games, but not any Diablo games or Destiny, and those colours mean nothing to me.
I tend to buy games faster than I play through them. I don’t really have a problem with never finishing games (I finish plenty of them), but it feels like I never finish them fast enough.
No, next will be Shin Super Sentai.
...Then, he will make Shin Godzilla x Shin Ultraman x Shin Kamen Rider x Shin Super Sentai.
I hope it comes out for consoles or PC at some point, so that I can actually play this game.
I find it especially annoying since it’s the old Nintendo and Playstation games that I want to play, not the old XBox games. Bleh.
I like to say Valkyrie Profile in response to questions like this. The game gets a fair amount of praise, sure (most people who’ve played it say that it’s good), but I don’t think it gets nearly enough of it; I think it’s one of the best three games released for the PS1, yet it almost never appears on lists for the…
I recall that the original Nier does not too interesting until the timeskip, and then it gets a lot better after you start replaying the second half.
The original Nier’s sidequests, however, are mostly bad.
I have done so on multiple occasions. I had a save file from Final Fantasy V near the end of the game, and I only went on to beat the final boss in that game several years later. I beat Xenoblade X across three main sessions (a session being playing the game for around 30-40 hours in several weeks), and there was a…
I would definitely not say The Minish Cap is among the best Zelda games. To me, it is the definitive “middling” Zelda game. A lot of the 2D Zelda games are better (like Link to the Past, Link Between Worlds, Link’s Awakening remake), while other 2D Zeldas are worse (the original, Zelda 2, and the DS games). Many of…
