2nd Gear: TIL that the Rogue accounts for an eye-popping 12% of crossover sales. That’s mind-blowing. Rental fleets can’t account for all of that number.   

Remarkably little leakage. It gets driven (maybe 400 miles since March) and it’s been charged 3x total since then, none from zero. But no evidence of loss. It doesn’t do much when off - I suppose it communicates occasionally with the (shitty) VW cloud service, but clearly not often enough to be a problem.

The pandemic killed my truck battery, which I used the eGolf to jump to get it working again.  One good long 200 mile drive to go camping and it’s been fine ever since, but I didn’t even try to drive it for the better part of 3 months.

Seriously man - this was the first article I planned to fully disagree with you, because we’ve been laughing about this all morning. My 8yo came downstairs, and when I told him the news, literally threw his hands up in the air and shouted “YYYESSSSS!”

Mute his mic. I’m shocked no one has put that on the table yet - literally. Just a big, red, STFU button on Wallace’s desk and we see Trump’s face moving violently but not hear a word.  Glorious silence.
