You know how when you read a research paper, you just read the abstracts and results/conclusion, skipping most of the stuff in middle? Google searches give the stuff in middle, and people give the informative stuff in start and end.

People are not omniscient, nor do people pay attention to everything that you pay attention to. I had never heard of Stranger Things before this article. The only reason I read it because it mentioned the DoE.
Because a feedback loop looks like a human losing their mind, doesn’t mean there was a “panic mode” programmed in.
Majoras Mask is not the “cool’ Zelda game, it is the best Zelda game. It had a story that involved more than 3 characters. Those more than 3 characters were relatable; you cared for them. The game had atmosphere, life. You could feel the tension rising as the days pass in the music and the way NPCs behaved themselves.
Every single day, 12 hour days? I’d have said change my hours or I quit after a week.
Multivitamins are very dumb. Our bodies are designed to process things in food form. As you have first hand experience knowing, things can go very wrong if we ingest things in non food form.
That SP clip has good lip animation; I could tell what he was saying.
Duh. They ARE made of people.
You forget Shrekli, or however his name is spelled.
You’re just used to having to put more cognitive effort into the operation of the extra stuff in a Manual. I’ve never driven manual, and automatic doesn’t make me “less focused on driving”. I use cruise control whenever possible because not having to think about keeping the gas pedal just so gives me that much more…
I don’t drive manual, and I don’t track race, so 5, 6, and 7 Dont apply to me. I’ve got everything else down.... How is that not Common Sense? I didn’t even get taught any of that, and it’s plainly obvious.
Why not buy a Stanley thermos? They proven themselves reliable and durable for the past several decades (with most of each individual specific thermos lasting rhat long as well).

Notice the “(or should be)“. The blog nature of Gizmodo is great. The gawker infiltration over the past few years isnt.
Federation Starships since at least the Galaxy class have had enough firepower to reduce planets to somking ruins (See the TNG episode with Data’s “mom”). Furthermore a mere 20 ship strong Cardassian and Romulan fleet melted the entire crust of the Founder’s homeworld in under a minute.
In the kernel? Internet Explorer is built in, but is not part of the kernel; you can uninstall it.
I highly doubt Siri is part of the MacOS kernel; This seems more like apple being “I cant let you do that Dave”.
So you watch every commercial on TV (instead of doing something else while they are on)? You watch through commercials on recorded content instead of fast forwarding? You read every ad in a published medium instead of turning the page?
I already view Ars and Engadget, but neither of those have the rapid fire nature of Gizmodo. What site is there that best emulates what Giz is (or should be)?
4chan needs to figure out how to survive. It is most frequented by tech saavy users, and such users often ad block. If 4chan can survive, its model for doing so will be THE model for an ad-less site.
