Yes. Sprint will throttle you normally because they can see you connect to YouTube and the packets sent to you contain video information. With a VPN, Sprint sees all your traffic connecting to a no name IP address and all the data packets are encrypted gibberish.

Get a VPN. Cheaper than sprint’s $20 addon, plus extra security and other great features, and sprint wont know youre streaming 4k video behind that encrypted data.

The G3 is insanely buggy; Not everyone who has a G3 with an upgrade path to 6.0 can actually upgrade. I doubt the G3 will get 7.0.

Project Fi is only cheaper for low data users. I use about 6 GB a month, and thats $60 or so on Sprint. $90 or so on Google. And when I can, I’ll uprade to Unlimited on Sprint for $75.

128k is fine for basic web. Its only sluggish if you stream HD video or browse web sites that are super bloated.
