They are relatively complex pieces, and I imagine the mold to make them is even more so. It is not uncommon for a rare minifig to resell for $30+.

The Big Bang is a hard assumption to make since it violates the second law of thermodynamics.

They rarely hit anything. Neutrinos are so weakly interacting that most will never interact with something else.

Post updated with more pictures (nice) and a new set, the TIE Fighter. HOLY CRAP! That TIE is expensive; 517 Pieces for $70. That’s 13.54 cents per peice!

Yes. Remember these are toys; A troop transport needs troops to pull out of.

There are seven minifigs in that set. Lets price them at $4 (not unreasonable) for $28 total. $90 - $28 = $62.

I’ve talked about it to my roommate who can’t remember which socks/underwear are his...

IIRC, Blue/Gray/White digital camo is good for lowering contrast in urban environments. The true point of camo is not to make you invisible, but make it hard to focus on you. You can easily, automatically pick out a pink thing in a field of white. You can’t easily or automatically pick out blue digital camo from hazy

Actually, brick separators are indicative of higher precision in tolerances. Low precision in tolerance means you have a large size range on stud size, which will lead to looseness. High precision leads to lower size range on stud size, which will lead to tightness.

That transport is more expensive because of the minifigs. Minifigures tend to add $3 to $5 per set.

Not half price. These sets are ranging 11 cents to 12 cents per piece. A bit above the 10 cents per piece that non licensed sets are.

Why are all these sets so massive? I don’t want a 717 piece X-Wing that cost $80 (11.16 c per piece) or a 1005 piece, $120 shuttle (11.94 c per piece!). The only reasonable set in that bunch is Rey’s Speed at 10.36 c per piece; It’s also inexpensive in the absolute sense. I don’t see parents just buying their child an

I employ the feature that makes writing cursive faster, flowing into the next letter, for some print letters (a, c, d, e, I use a full cursive f, g, l, m, n, o, q, s, and t). The are still print, but their shape is conducive to flow.

The definition of obese is tied to BMI (which is a poor measure): 30 kg times (height in meters)^2. For an average US male at 5’9”, that is 205 pounds. Which means a muscular man is “obese”. Even then, 205 pounds is an easy threshold to break for being over weight, so yo can see wht the US is “very obese”.

There is a reason the concept of Median Lethal Dose, LD50 exists. Something that is harmful to one person is not necessarily harmful to another. In a system composed of one trillion subunits, ie a human, statistics become a large, if not dominant effect.

There is no such thing as safe, there is only statistically unlikely to harm you. A factor of ten will still have a huge impact on the numbers.

It’s not a trap!

Butter is not delicious. It is disgusting. It’s only use is as a cooking/baking glue.

Unless a person is good at noticing dismissing comments, then they call you out on it, and get back on track.

Please tell me the train goes slow and takes curves gently.
