Back in the mid 80's, I was at a gaming convention with my family. I got to play in a game of Toon run by Warren Spector, creator of said game. I ended up blowing up the moon, which earned a plot point from him. At that point, I wanted a copy of the game, but didn’t think my parents would bite. He told me, jokingly,

I just want a GryzzlPad.

Terrible idea.

Yeah, a more reasonable way to say it is: if somebody already has a gaming PC, then there isn’t much reason for them to buy an Xbox. I think that makes sense!

Now is one of the worst times in modern history to build a gaming PC due to scalping, mining, tariffs, and the overall high MSRPs of AIB graphics cards. You will end up paying double the price to match the performance of the XSX. Budget builds are dead right now, which is where the XSX fits in perfectly.

There is so little reason for an Xbox to exist.

If there were so little reason for the Xbox to exist, there wouldn’t be millions of Xboxes in the world. People really need to let the “just build a gaming PC” take die, it just makes you look myopic.

I mean... the expense is one reason: you could buy a Series X (assuming you could find one) and a fairly barebones PC for your day-to-day PC use and still not come close to the expense of buying (or building) a PC comparable to a Series X. Not to mention people (like me) who just don’t like PC gaming - I just don’t

Something “exclusive” to xbox AND PC is so much less annoying than something exclusive to only a console.

Yep, arbitrarily limited color palettes! It looks real good here.

I said “high-res” because 640x360 is high-res for EGA/VGA. 2D computer games with a resolution like this back in the day looked notably “high res” compared to their 320x200 brethren.

Oh good, glad to see someone beat me to this.

Hey, piss off. The article also said the Nintendo Direct was crap too. YOU’RE the fanboy here, jumping to Sony’s defence any time you see the slightest shred of criticism while ignoring the context around it. Calm down and sit down.

How about turning down your bias and fanboyism a bit? You may have not enjoyed Ash’s opinion on Nintendo’s presenation, but a lot of people will disagree.

Imagine calling someone else a fanboy when you reek of hurt feelings over what someone said about a Pokemon reveal. Pretty sure Nintendo doesn’t need you to white knight for them, my guy.

Fanboi say what?

At some point you gotta learn that not everyone that disagrees with you is a fanboy.

I don’t know man, I can’t think of anyone in the comments anywhere that thought that was a good showing. The Direct even got better feedback from people.

I’d rather get a movie that is about a Superman dealing with white privilege.
