I want to believe... but I know that I’ll probably just be let down. There’s potential for it, sure, but corporate American television is produced by committees of sad old white men who can’t think outside market studies and focus groups. This will not go well.

I have such a strange attitude to this game. It’s a MOBA in a world full of MOBAs, and most of them far better (from what I hear; I don’t play MOBAs).

HUBBA HUBBA! That keyboard family is so beautiful

That’s your first soldered board, right Fahey? Believe it or not, I started my KB path with nothing but custom boards! You should try doing more 100% customs!

Now playing

Thanks for such a great and well researched article! We’re a really strange group of people, sometimes. I’ve only been in the community for a few months, but I used to type on a vintage IBM Model M back in college. When I left my home to join the US Navy, that poor keyboard got left behind in the rush. Years later

I would watch a sequel to that show in a heartbeat. My favorite episode was near the end when the Machine couldn’t figure out who was who and so the actors all played each other. I laughed hard!

Yeah, I couldn’t find anything to match what that keyset is trying to accomplish outside of an aesthetic choice. I don’t think anyone in Japan would want to type completely in katakana, to be honest ;)

Harley’s gum chewing. Like, the rest is good and all that, but the chewing. It’s freaking spot on. Her jaw moves side to side as her molars are grinding it. That’s... impossibly real looking.

I still haven’t dipped my fingertips into the Topre world. I’m not sure I’m ready! I like the idea of the capacitive dome and the tactile-like feeling, but all the other tweaks that would have to be done to get it working how I would want it makes it less desirable. The addition of the MX stems for ease of keycap

Once you get a custom you inevitably start to collect... always looking for that perfect layout/switch type/switch actuation force/keycaps combo. I’ve been in the community for a very short time, but I keep getting more boards and more parts!

Deal for real :D
I’m doing a new set that should look really cool. The problem with the dyes in the lack of control over some of the dye load. The blue dye I used recently had an insanely heavy dye load, so they went from pastel blue to navy blue in less than 60 seconds. It was disappointing, so say the least.

I’m looking to get a 68% as well. I didn’t think I’d miss the arrow keys with the 60% I just built, but I keep reaching for them. Some games pretty much demand them, so I think I might have to shelve this one for a little while.

Thanks! I put a lot of work into them!

Hey thanks!
Check out my clackers!:

Interesting marketing idea... it’s still a pretty limited audience, though. I keep wanting to show you my custom mechs and chat with you about it, but alas... I’m always gray.

They also announced last year that Android will only be supported on their devices for 2 years after the release, then nothing but security patches. That’s pretty shitty, IMO.

Any idea if this is the OG Ghost in the Shell, or the “digitally enhanced” edition from a few years ago? There was a version around for a while that replaced some of the animation with new CGI that was AWFUL. :(

Or you can get white PBT keycaps and make your own beautiful set, like I did!

That’s a pretty keyboard! How do you like the HHKB? I’ve heard mixed reviews. Here’s the custom build I just made this last weekend:

I think it might be time for all fans of Dune to realize that this isn’t going to be one movie. This is an IP; and it’s a rich one full of opportunity. The problem is that, at the time the movie was made, there weren’t many trilogies that got funded the instant the script and cast was selected. Star Wars was a
