THEY’RE THE REAL DEAL, LUCILLE!
LMAO youre such an asshole I love it
WOWWIE. Congrats Cubs fans. THAT WAS ONE HELL OF A GAME 7!!! Also- Theo Epstein broke the Red Sox curse in ‘04 AND the Cubs curse. Holy shit. One of the best executives the game’s ever seen.
Some perspective on how historic this is:
The longest and most fabled of all championship droughts is over after an insane, interminable Game 7. The Chicago…
Yeah. I still don’t think he actually faked the bloody sock. But I now believe he is the type of person who would do it.
Not surprised he would do that. He’s always been a “me me” kind of guy.
the Indians never quite threatened, but they constantly threatened to threaten
Sounds like a perfect fit for the Bengals.
ESPN put up an infographic of Chicago world championships last 3decades. . . they forgot about the Sox.
In the first inning Joe West gave the Indians 4 at bats with those 2 terrible strikeout denials.
Right, so the first time.
Hard to look good when you’re getting squeezed on calls in each corner. Joe West thinks you have to throw four strikes to get an out. The Indians have been doing damage on extra pitches Jake has been forced to throw.
This is, amazingly, the first time a Chicago team has hit a grand slam in the World Series.
How is “phasing through doors” not considered an overt cheat? Sounds like the kind of distinction you’d find in an NFL rulebook. :p
If they could they would.
That isn’t for speedrunning necessarily but for testing the limits of possibilities. Sometimes the only way to see if something is possible is to manufacture a scenario where it does work, and then building backwards from there to find a method of achieving that scenario without modifying the game.
Can someone please explain speedrunners who manipulate the code to make times? What’s the point? Why not manipulate the code to go straight to the End Credits for a 1-second record?
As someone who has seen 99%+ of Bears plays over the last 13-14 years, that was the best thing this team has done in that time period.
The “Trump spokesperson [who] told the Times that what they had was not news” isn’t wrong.
