Former 911 dispatcher here and all is correct except the part about landlines not calling 911 if there’s no service. They do and I’m pretty sure they are under the same law that requires cell phones to do so.

I’d still call that an air fryer myself (with the caveat that a dedicated air fryer may be better in some ways, as is often the case with combined appliances).

We use the microwave frequently, I use the air fryer once in a while and Mrs Mosca uses it never. The PITA has been keeping the air fryer on the counter, where it takes up too much space, or keeping it stored, where it becomes out of sight out of mind and I use the oven instead.

The one that always killed me was average length of accounts.  Don’t open new lines of credit if you don’t need too.  Keeping that old creditcard with a slightly worse rate is way better then canceling it and opening a new one

I’m almost 57, and it’s still a comfort food kind of thing for me. My wife tried an experiment a few weeks ago: she made a quick and easy pot pie for lunch with DM beef stew and a Bisquick dough topping. It was pretty tasty!

I highly recommend white electrical tape for labeling. It won’t come off in the freezer until you peel it off, but then it will come off easily and cleanly.

I bought these once - to crush up and use as crumbs for fried chicken. Big mistake, as all you could taste was the chip if you ate the skin (kind of the point of fried chicken).

The biggest issue with Flamin’ Hot is that it’s all heat and no substance. it’s like a hot sauce that focuses only on the capsaicin content and nothing else. sure it’s hot but when that’s all there is it’s a shitty eating experience. I’ve noticed it works a lot better when mixed with something else.

All the Flamin’ Hot varieties that that weird chemical “heat” flavor. I much prefer regular Cheddar and Sour Cream.
