Malachai and Isaac were legit creepy kids. They and the whole He Who Walks Behind the Rows mythos reflected in the iconography around the desolate town gave the first film a lot of low budget horror chutzpah. I haven’t seen any sequels. Does anyone know if any of them are any good?

In spite of myself, I’m impressed at how you managed to lead with a sentence about racist policing in an article about a show that has nothing to do with the police.

The B99 reference is interesting. When we saw the trailer I commented to Mrs. F. that Joel McHale probably got that part because Andy Samberg turned it down.

Damn! Good on you for sticking your ground and reminding them of your fee 👏 I’m not AT ALL surprised they lost clients. When you take the cheap way out, you pay for it sooner or later.

I did the consulting fee thing at a previous employer after I saw how much they called other former employees because their cross training system was non-existent.
I gave a two week notice, which they didn’t have me work (they did pay me for it) and reminded them of my fee when they called a month later with some

Companies will claim their employees are family, but at the end of the day? No. No, they are not family. Companies will drop you without notice. It’s always about the bottom line (money).

It’s not available to stream, just rent or buy.

Cool! I enjoyed it when it came out (is it available to stream?) but even then it seemed like Beatty’s big flex that he could take a 50 year old niche IP and blow it up. Ego, man. But it was as distinctive as hell.

It’s really more of a general apathy towards celebrities, corporations, and the 1%; outside of a few widely-reported CEOs and investors, I couldn’t tell you if any specific white male was a billionaire or not, and in their cases I really wouldn’t care at all. Knowing how the cards are stacked against women and POC,

i do. the film was fantastic id love to see a sequel, with different actors of course.

Man, I disagree with a lot of people. This was funny. Not top-shelf Iannucci but it was funny. A constant stream of Malcom Tucker-esque exasperated putdowns. Yeah, some of the supporting cast wasn’t as strong as they could have been, it felt off in some way. But it was still funny as shit imho. Laurie being great goes

I would say “Moonbase 8" was the best of them... but I was honestly surprised how much heart that “Space Force” developed in the second season, and how saddened I was when it wasn’t renewed. I was actively rooting for those characters during S2.

Maybe we can put a Go-Fund-Me together for her.

It wasn’t great, but it did have that one moment of jet-black comedy that perfectly embodied the stupidity of COVID-era populism (purely by accident, since season 1 was shot pre-COVID): the scene where the passengers mutiny to blow themselves out the airlock.

Is a gun being held to her head tomorrow night before she performs? Cuz otherwise I don’t at all see a problem with this. In theatre school I had profs literally be like “Doing work for volunteer for exposure is part of the profession”. This is just silly. Like hey I wanna play the superbowl halftime show for free if

Selling out without even getting paid. That’s a new one.

Bummer! I guess I was 1 of only 5 people who liked this half hour of silliness. It even improves on rewatch with all the jokes going on with background players.

Yes, it’s a true shame that a multimillionaire isn’t getting paid a few million more to perform a 15 minute show for the benefit of a multibillion-dollar organization. Definitely one of the most pressing entertainment stories, which is why it’s been a major headline before every Superb Owl for years now.

Young people have always drank terrible stuff with the expressed purpose of getting as drunk as possible, as quickly as possible, as cheaply as possible, so the Borg thing is not terribly shocking. Back in my younger days, back before color had been invented, the cool kids took straight shots of Everclear and later

Can you guys stop with the "you're doing X wrong" and "you need to do X immediately" titles? They are annoying and clickbaity.
