Oh yea the Ford Flex that would kind of be mine too even if I didn't really have my mind set. My whole life I had owned sedans, moved in sedans, camped in sedans everything. Went on a road trip in a friend's parent's Flex and was amazed at the interior room. Never bought one but I did eventually buy a Ford so maybe?

You are correct. The Gatorback tire debuted on the C4 Corvette. The name came from the look of the unidirectional tread pattern. IDK if it was the first tire to use that type of design, but it certainly got a lot of hype due to it being the ‘Vette’s tire. I recall Motor Trend dedicating a full page article to it.
