Ok so Odinson became unworthy when he was told that Gorr was right and that he along with all the other gods are not needed. In short Thor believes that he is not needed and shouldnt be doing what he does as Thor. With no purpose he has no worth. Volstag on the other hand has found a deep true purpose and is now

A whole hell of a lot of copies would need to sell to convince WB to essentially reanimate the entire BTAS/TNBA. Most cartoons weren’t animated nor preserved in such a way that a BD release would be possible, unless they literally just copied the DVD’s contents to a BD, but then you’re just paying more for garbage.

The first 3 seasons had backgrounds done on black paper instead of white. Every piece of dust and lint was picked up during animation. One wrong move in the remaster could be a disaster for the image.

Probably should buy this to send that message. Also maybe the new movie coming out that TAS style(but that one looks off imo)

It’s the only film that got an apology from Siskel & Ebert.

I’ve never read that scene as the costume inspiring terror in Alfred. Instead, I interpret it as Alfred finally realizing that Bruce, the man he raised from a baby, has taken the final step and is gone.

Oh hello new David Tennant Paul McGann adventure.

Fixed it for you.

As far as release specs, Dark Horizons is reporting that the disc will have “both a new 1080p HD remaster and will include both the original 16×9 aspect ratio (1.78:1) and an open matte 4×3 (1.37:1) version.”

Evan. Can I make a request? Please contact Warner and ask them to remaster the animated series and put them on Blu-Ray.

Yeah, but it’s one of those shitty Archive editions, a burned Blu Ray with minimum effort and zero extras. I’ll still buy it, but fuck Warner for not giving this a proper release.

The Phantasm choir rendition of the classic Elfman Batman theme is my favorite by far. Shirley Walker has said it was one of her favorite tracks she ever worked on. She put a great spin on such a famous, effective theme. Amidst all the batman movies and shows that use the same theme, this one stands tall. Start at 35

Mask of the Phantasm wasn’t direct to video, it had a theatrical release.

I’d say that of the “serious” Batman films (Batman ‘66 being a unique beast), first, Phantasm is the best film that actually focuses on Batman and what makes him tick.* The psychodrama that Bruce suffers in Phantasm is better than anything Bruce-related in the Nolan films. Second, Phantasm has the best love interest

Looks like Cybus Cybermen are also in it - or future mondasian cybermen.

No, no it’s not.

Voodoo economics. hell many low wage earners would love to find a FT job that paid that 9 dollars an hour he alluded to.

You just made an incredibly poor argument against eliminating the social safety net. I especially liked when you likened Medicare and Social Security to a Ponzi scheme, without any apparent understanding of what Medicare, Social Security, or a Ponzi scheme actually is.

hah. the entirety of the taxes he has paid over his life is not enough to pay for a mile of the road he drives to work on. the man has lived his entire life utterly dependent on government handouts. but oh, how he cries about the moochers when he hears there’s a handout he, personally, does not receive.

Yes but the problem with unregulated capitalism is you eventually run out of a taxable Middle class.
