I'd like, if I may, submit a candidate for a "perfect trilogy": Terry Gilliam's "Imagination Trilogy"

i don't care what people say, these were gold. all three of them.

Three totally unrelated movies that United Artists repackaged for English-speaking audiences as a "series" in order to create a Western equivalent to the Bond movies.

Okay, so it's not based on a comic book. But a perfect trilogy is possible. Apparently, all you need is for everyone involved to swear they will NOT make another sequel unless it's extraordinarily good.

I would think the original Star Wars comes closest. Those damn Ewoks....

I have seen it since then. Last Crusade is still good, but Temple of Doom is better.

Oh yeah, and this!

We already have a perfect Trilogy: A Fist Full of Dollars; A Few Dollars More; The Good, The Bad and the Ugly

We already have our perfect movie trilogies!

If we don't count The Dark Knight Trilogy or Iron Man because of divisiveness, then I'd say it's basically impossible. I think as a series goes on, it is going to have to make a controversial decision or else be boring... which in itself will divide people.

I think Back to the Future had a perfect trilogy. Not a bad one in the bunch.

If they are clever the DVD release would come with a cassette tape of the soundtrack as a collector's item.

Will be buying the CD. This is awesome. Or the cassette tape, if they go that way.

I think Altidore is just a decoy. I believe Ballack/Ruud/Ekoku when they say he isn't playing in this tournament after that injury. Klinsmann probably just wants Belgium to have to prepare for him.

No.

Thanks...I was having a mini stroke trying to read the damn thing wondering if I needed another cup of coffee before the game today

This is a good time to mention that this will never happen, no matter how many people die building stadiums or how many teams lose their entire midfield to extreme dehydration.
