I think the big thing everybody missed was mobile data. As a pure productivity machine for calendar, email, and calling, the iPhone was overkill and more of a toy. It wasn’t until 3G and with location services became widespread that the fundamental use of a mobile phone changed which required big screens. Apple was

I’m no expert, but it seems like electric cars should be cheaper than petrol cars. If you look at the chassis of a Tesla, there’s nothing to it - no radiator, no differential, no oil or gas tank with associated plumbing, etc. Just electric motors at the wheels and batteries, surrounded then by all the standard stuff

“We’re too scared.”

Yeah, I’m pretty sure my parents would be serving multiple life sentences considering how people view things now. I used to sleep in the boot of a convertible Buick (or whatever you call that area where the top goes down) on long trips. I opened the door of a Mark III while the car was turning and the door flung open

I love it.

I love how the woman starts twerking in the middle of a freaking riot.

I used to work out in this gym. On Sports Arena drive in San Diego.

This smells contrived. These two bimbos probably knew Miata fans would make their Miata attack viral. They are simply millennial model-types searching for their internet 15 seconds of fame. The “thanks for the followers” comment sums up the whole thing.

Yep, that’s right. Protesters are fine and healthy. But many of those protesters are deliberately trying to incite violence and going over the line. The funny thing is, this is what happened in Weimar Germany. Nazis would attend Communist rallies to incite conflict. Both of those parties were horrible to the core.

This isn’t anything remotely close to the civil rights movement and you know it. Just because you don’t like Hitler doesn’t have to mean you support Stalin.

Do you think jumping up and down on a bystander’s car who happens isn’t intentionally violent behavior? What about the Trump rally in Chicago that had to be cancelled due to violence? I guarantee you if somebody with a Trump sign walked through a Bernie rally he would be attacked.

There’s a certain group of those people who aren’t protesting. They are trying to instigate violence.

Protesting him is not silencing him. Shutting down roads into a small town (which by the way is them main route to the hospital, thank God nothing bad happened) to stop the event is trying to silence him. It’s a fucking hard thing to make Trump a sympathetic character, but some of those moronic protesters are trying

the company had to scramble to produce a non-functioning, static concept car, costing $2m.

It’s sort of funny, but I never knew any songs from Kanye - I figured he was some washed up reality star dickhead that’s always in the news. Then in the past few weeks I’ve heard people claiming what a talent he is. The first music I’ve heard from Kanye were the two videos posted here, which I gave a listen. Both are

I did that twice in college. Part drunk and part asleep, I walked out of my dorm, pissed in the hall stairway, went back in and went back to sleep. The other time I started to piss in my roommates’ closet before he grabbed me and threw me out the door. I actually remember each time, but really no recollection why I

I get that, but it’s far more detrimental and extreme than “sharing a connection”. Humans are groupish, and by instinct tend to pick a group and find an out-group to hate. “All the evil bastards in the out-group are sub-human and intent on destroying everything that is just and right in the world.”

I find it really bizarre that people self-identify with political parties. It’s about as logical as being a sports fan or brand loyal. If people voted on policy issues rather than party loyalty, you’d probably see more educated voting.

“strawman”

Jezebel cracks me up - for being a “feminist” site, they sure do lay on the neurotic, screaching, emotional basket case, gossip mongering female stereotype pretty thick.
