Everybody knows that in this country you can drunk drive off a bridge, stagger away while your passenger mistress drowns, and continue an illustrious career still beloved by your party faithful.

Actually, I hate the turn signal stalk on the other side. It’s 100% hidden by the steering wheel. I’ve had the car since 2010, and to this day I’ve never seen what’s etched on it - I still fumble around with the wiper controls. If you look at the pic, when you are seated you just don’t see the stalk.
I really like 4:3 aspect ratio in portrait for side monitors - typically I have reference contracts, documents, or web content open on the side, and my content creation display in the center which is widescreen. However, there are no modern 4:3 monitors that I’m aware of. My ancient 1280x1024 Dell monitors got the…
I’m sure they will be a fortune, but Eizo is coming out with a new square display perfect as side monitors. I actively searched for a modern 4:3 display so I could have the same arrangement - large widescreen in the middle and two document monitors on the sides (4:3), but you just can’t find them anywhere.
A President is technically the person in charge of the company, so is a superior position. CEO and President are sometimes the same person (as in my company), but don’t have to be.
I had an older Boxster S and tracked down a Becker unit in Germany that would allow me to use bluetooth for the phone and integrate my iPod. It didn't say Porsche on it, but Becker matches the Porsche interior with the same fonts, buttons, etc. The only problem was finding a home for the mic for the phone, there was…
Serious question - has rape on college campus been shown to be more prevalent than that of similar age groups who don't go to college? I'd like to see studies which are corrected for employment, alcohol, drug use, etc. I'd wager the problem is alcohol abuse, not necessarily the types of people at college.
Employees are typically at will employees. This means getting fired for them not liking the look on your face. If they want to publish a policy that says you can't talk about pineapples during work, then you better not talk about pineapples. It's as simple as that.
PLANET DOMINATOR
Aren't pets normally sedated when they travel? I remember flying with my cat once as a carry on years ago and the vet recommended sedation (which we did).
I see no problem with watching the watchers. Journalists have quite a bit of power to destroy somebody's life and livelihood, I don't see any reason to afford them special protection or status. They can play by the same rules as everybody else.
Meh. There's always assholes in any political or social movement. How many people dispensed death threats to what's-his-face Zimmerman before a trial. The assholes don't invalidate the majority of the movement.
Maybe they fired her for broadcasting to the world some asshole's joke and ruined the reputation of the store. Damage is done, the shop is finished.
Regulations always entrench the giants. They are mostly written by their lobbyists, and work to kill off any threat to their business. This is why our country is screwed, any real tax or regulatory reform to make things simpler will fail- all the entrenched interests will kill them.
Maybe that's right if you assume we are heading to a mad max dystopia. Water isn't a problem today, and provided that tech keeps advancing and the US economy doesn't collapse, won't be a problem in the future. If there's problems piping water to Phoenix, Southern California will have already died of thirst and…
Or e), the whole thing is a BS goof. Personally, it's either c) or e). He's either insane and should be locked up, or it's fake.
I'm not sure what's so hard about the old fashioned "crack egg into pot of boiling water" method. 4 minutes gives me perfect results every time. The end result is two things to clean - the pot, and a slotted spoon.
I was referring mostly to the public sector since that's where money is spent. The retirement age is very low, often 55 so people end up being retired longer than working. They spike pensions by dumping all sorts of vacation pay on their last year of employment. Elected city morons lie about pension obligations to…
