Actually he's probably the most qualified candidate we've had in ages. Ran the Salt Lake City Olympics, ran several businesses succesfully, was governor of a left-leaning state and pushed through a compromise health care reform. Let's face it, he's far more qualified than Obama was when he was elected, and the other

This is exactly why American jobs are outsourced abroad.

Pretty much par for the course. The country has been operating without a budget since 2009, we have a $1.2T debt, runaway deficits while everybody demands free stuff but refuses to pay for it, schools that eliminate bussing because citizens are too cheap to pass school levies while simultaneously voting to shovel more

If true, it's about time. The fragility of the iPhone is criminal...I'll never buy another one after my wife's shattered from a routine drop.

I've always been concerned about research that links certain types of behavior to appearance. I'm sure that you could flesh out statistics that link skin color, type of hair, etc to certain behaviors and end up with a racism controversy.

I'm thinking that Apple must be doing this on purpose - designing products for old people. The elderly probably makes up a big part of their demographic, buying iPads and iPhones now because they are mainstream. It won't be long until Apple's brand is known as the go-to company for the geezer set.

The author was clearly reaching to taint Christie by association with this dick. If anybody's tainted, it's the machine that put him there - democrats of West New York. Obviously, many dickheads in the democratic party thought he was the man for the job, otherwise he wouldn't be where he is. Members of political

He's still a democrat, and it shames democrats far more than it should shame Christie.

A democrat commits a horrendous crime, and the author somehow inserts a low brow fat joke to a republican completely unrelated to the incident. Sitting from the center watching the antics of the crazies of the left and right, I get the impression that the left obsesses itself over irrelevant and idiotic personal

What's wrong with Card, is he a nazi or something? I just recently read the Ender books, and am more pissed at him than anything because the last few books in the series were absolute crap compared to Ender's Game and Speaker for the Dead. I felt obliged to grind through the last two despite hating all the characters.

Launchpad I think is dumb. Mission control i use though - i don't know a better way in mac to manage multiple open windows. Not sure i like it more than aero peek, but expose works for me...

I guess they got rid of him for making too much sense.

I've actually grown to like the ribbon, but I spend tons of time in Office so maybe I'm just used to it. The main thing that annoys me about windows are the settings - I still fumble around looking for networking settings, and with the Mac it's all right there so easy to find. I just wish Apple would update their UI

With all the hate poured on Metro for Win8, I can't believe that more hate wouldn't be dumped on the OSX dock. I absolutely hate that fucking thing, it's a jumbled mess of icons and the curvy document selection is just nonsense. The dock is really the main reason that I never switched completely - I still have a MBP

OK, I saw the movie today and read the review. You didn't give too much away, and probably were more conservative than most reviewers with labelling stuff spoilers, which is good. That said, you could probably just remove a few hints of the details, and then reading the review in its entirety wouldn't give too much

Plenty of unnecessary outrage from the author and from the commentariat. So fucking what - a group of people have a belief system where they don't like the dark side of the internet. There's plenty of really wrong things on the web, and probably many of the girls in porn we all like to watch are paid in "less

I stopped reading the review at "spoilers". Why is it that most io9 reviews have a paragraph of review, followed by 10 paragraphs of spoilery?

I made a post on The Economist's facebook feed talking about how unions stifle innovation, and that companies like Google, Apple, Microsoft, wouldn't exist if they were unionized. Some random union fucker actually threatened me and my family - he browsed my facebook profile, looking at pictures of my house, etc and

Interesting - I hackintoshed a machine several years ago, it broke with an update once and I fixed it, then it broke again with another update and I gave up on it. Does Gigabyte advertise which boards have a Mac friendly DSDT?
