I bought a 7yr/125k mile warranty for the 09 Ford Escape I bought new. First version of the V6 and 6F35 transmission in the car. It paid for itself twice over by the end of the 7th year, including a convenient front timing seal leak one month before expiration.

Except no one is selling it at MSRP... my dealer has a regular GT350 with a 20K markup.

How that organization hasn’t been questioned about their logo looking like a national ice cream company's is beyond me.

How is this different to the cars at my nearby Ford dealer that have an extra line “Damaged Unit” on the window sticker? They have new car miles and are just a little under what a new car would cost with rebates.

Not completely true... in the MKC, the bumper reflectors actually have lights in them. If you have the hazards on and open the lift gate, lights begin to flash in the reflectors. Tested this on a demo once.
