Are you sure people are gawking at it? It's a nice car and a cool color and certainly not as ubiquitous as the 3 series, but in SoCal at least BMWs like this are omnipresent. Even the M series seems like its everywhere. I can't imagine anyone officially gawking at anything less than an i3 or an i8.

You ain't lying, my friend's mom had a 5 speed V6 and that 3 liter V6 pumping out 190 hp seemed pretty darn fast to me.
